You've spent a substantial amount of money on your spray booth equipment in order to obtain a dust-free paint results. Yet, unless you're using Viledon filters, you're still probably wasting a small fortune on re-works. This is because, unlike inferior substitutes, Viledon filters deliver top-rated performance under "real world" conditions of vibration and temperature which the ASHRAE standard 52.2, used to measure other filters, does not evaluate.

This standard, (AHSRAE 52.5) developed with general HVAC air filters performance measurement in mind, is incapable of reflecting how well filters will retain paint damaging dirt particles in spray booth applications where vibration typically occurs. For this reason, several years ago Viledon developed the "Migration Test" to simulate these conditions. This extremely stringent testing method is now widely accepted as the most accurate way of identifying the ability of a filter to trap and, most importantly, retain dirt particles large enough to cause visible paint damage. Particles 10 microns in diameter and larger are considered critical because they can produce visible defects. For this reason, in order to achieve clean paint results, a filter must trap and retain all particles of this size, while still offering low resistance to air flow.

When compared to Viledon PA560/G-10 or R-1 intake air filter media via the "Migration Test", competitive filters exhibit substantially inferior performance, in some cases allowing up to 100 times as many damaging particles to penetrate. In the real world, this costs you money in re-works while compromising your expensive booth's performance.
